This update is basically just a copy and paste of our December lockdown policies. Starting tomorrow (Thursday, April 8), Ontario will be under a Stay at Home Order.
This means we all non-essential businesses (like yours truly) will not be allowed to let customers into the store.
We've done this a couple of times and we're getting pretty good at it though! Just like all of the other lock downs we will continue to offer curbside pickup, local delivery, and worldwide shipping. Orders can be made over the phone or on our online shop.
Take a look at the Feb 12 update on the bottom of this page for our exact policies going forward!
We are fully supportive of this move and are hopeful that this brings the third wave to heel and we can all start getting vaccinated as soon as possible!
Here we go again! The Ontario Government has announced a province wide shutdown starting Saturday, April 4th. We are a non essential business, which means we will be able to open at 25% capacity - this works out to 8 people including our staff.
We will continue to offer curbside service, local delivery, and worldwide shipping with Canada Post and UPS.
A couple of requests from us at KJ
Hopefully this is the last lockdown and in the summer we can all start to get back to normalcy!
Hello everyone! As I am sure you have heard, the Ontario government is in the process of beginning to re-open the province. Starting the day after Family Day (Feb 16) retail shops, among other businesses will be allowed to re-open in some capacity.
The staff at KJ have discussed the merits of re-opening, and we have decided to delay re-opening our store until at least March 1st. We’re concerned about the safety of our staff and the higher risk demographics that we serve. We want to see how the next couple of weeks go, especially with the new variants beginning to spread. We may yet delay our re-opening past March 1st and will update our status accordingly.
We will continue to take orders over the phone or on our online website. We will also continue to bottle wine for our clients. We are striving to offer the best service possible while also keeping everyone safe.
We will be available at the store from 10-5 Monday to Saturday. Please feel free to reach out to us via phone (519-824-1624) or email (info@kjurbanwinery.com) for any questions, concerns, or orders.
We are unable to ship CO2 locally or via Canada Post. We still want our clients to have their CO2 re-filled and exchanged. We will continue to offer this service. CO2 refills and exchanges can be purchased on our website, or you can call us to schedule an exchange. The exchange still has to be done locally, but this will make it easier to process exchanges for everyone.
All wine will continue to be produced and looked after. We are able to take orders, please give us a call to place your order. For wine bottling, we will bottle wine for our clients. We can either use new bottles, or clients can drop off their bottles at scheduled times and we will bottle for them.
We will take every safety precaution when handling our clients wine and bottles. We will use safety gloves, and properly sterilize every piece of equipment, every single time.
