This month’s beer is brought to you by Robyn! This is the first beer she has designed and brewed herself. She approached the design process like a new homebrewer (because that is what she is).

This beer is deceptive looking. From simply looking at it, it appears to be a simple gold coloured beer. You might think to yourself that this will be a light, crisp blonde ale – but you would be wrong. Close your eyes and take a sip; your brain will be convinced that this beer is dark stout. White Gristmas is a full bodied, thick tasting beer with STRONG notes of coffee and chocolate.

Sequels are all the rage these days. Why not with a beer? Introducing Unicorn Tears 2 - the bigger, badder, citrus-ier version of the original. This one is packed with tangerine peels to give the beer an intense sweet citrus punch. It's also summer weather friendly! It can be fermented within a huge range of temperatures. 

Sometimes you just want a beer. That’s it, a beer, it’s gotta be simple, easy drinking and it doesn’t need to have any sort of fun story behind it. It’s a beer. It’s not too malty, too hoppy, too sour, too boozy, too pretentious. It is just a beer, a damn good one at that.

Oh boy, we have been sitting on this recipe for sometime. Waiting for the perfect moment to release this. This is a full bodied, malty, powerful stout. The kicker is that we have taken a good stout and raised it up a few notches with 6 shot of espresso.
