Auld Lang Syne - Scottish Light Ale

    Scottish Light Ale – 5.5 Gal - OG 1.042 – FG 1.012 – ABV 3.8% - IBU 11 – SRM 15

It’s a new year and with that comes time for reflection and self-improvement. Many will choose to acquire a gym membership or start running again but we here at KJ feel you can begin your journey of renewal with your beer!

Here comes Auld Lang Syne! Featuring an ABV of less than 4% and approximately 70 calories per 12oz serving!

This Scottish Light Ale is modelled after a traditional 60 Schilling beer. In 18 and 19th Century Scotland taxes were levied against beer based on their ABV. Scottish brewers were therefore required to offer beers that were at once affordable to make without sacrificing flavour. This 60 Schilling features a Pale Ale base with a variety of roasted malts that give it it’s full, rich character.

The lower ABV also means a quicker turnaround time for your beer (max. 10 days) so this one can be ready in time for Robbie Burns Day!

    Here’s tae ye!
